all headcanons are inspired by things that I have read throughout the comics and things that mcu have hinted at but never completely touched on.

please be respectful of my headcanons:

01. although it was said that Steve wouldn't ever be affected by any disease, thanks to his immunes system being peak health; it doesn't mean that Steve doesn't suffer from mental illnesses. His most pronation is his PTSD and body dysmorphia as the blonde still sees himself as a sickly man - the man he was back before the experiment.

02. Even though so far the serum in his system is permanent; the blonde still tries his best to live healthily and encourage a healthy living off his friends. i.e. working out, running, eating healthy.

03. Steve goes to group therapy with those that have also lost things due to war.

04. He might be this big strong man but he does have a softer side that he occasionally lets people see whether it is him needed a cuddle or playing with Sharon's hair. It's just a small comfort and a safety thing for him and something he would do with his mother when he was younger.

05. Steve has a dog called Buddy; the captain adopted him after a realization that he was spending many of his nights alone and without purpose; so to add a change into his routine the blonde got a dog ( Buddy is also classified as steve's service dog, that helps comfort him through his harder days, when he gets plagued with his night-terrors. )

06. Steve still lives in Brooklyn and will travel to the Avengers compound.

07. Steve is multi-lingual; as he learnt many languages during the war, but also because of his fast learning he likes to leave the languages of everywhere he travels. The ones he currently knows fluently; English, German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, French, and Italian. ( this includes sign language )

08. When Steve is at the gym, he doesn't like to be stared at or often looked at as most of the time, the captain s within his head and is dealing with a lot

09. He still visits the graves of his old friends and mother and father and brings flowers for them weekly.

10. Steve likes to handle his fan mail personally and will read through every fanfic, letter and drawing and will reply to every single one as he feels every person deserves his time.

11. On the nights that can't sleep steve goes out on patrol in the city streets, taking bad guys or people that deserve to the local police precinct.

12. Steve can often be found helping homeless veterans by sending them to F.E.A.S.T and making sure they get the best treatment.

13. Steve owns a Harley Davidson motorbike.

14. The Captain hands out his old comic books to children who are in hospitals and makes sure they get the best health care, as it would be something his mother would want and he knows what it's like to not be able to afford medicines.

15. Steves' apartment has art pieces that he has made yet can't bring himself to sell as he gets very sentimental about them.

16. He is a very avid reader as is slowly making his way through an encyclopedia set; ( currently on volume six. ) but he also likes to read everything as it's his way of catching up on modern-day events

17. Steve doesn't like to talk about his night-terrors or his PTSD ( unless it's during therapy ) as the captain is very private about that stuff and doesn't like to burden his friends and lovers with them.

18. Steve keeps the WWII posters scattered around his apartment along with a few other war memorabilia that the Smithsonian didn't get his hands on.

19. Steve still writes out his Christmas list even if he tells everyone he doesn't want anything but the Avengers and/or the people who he is close to, have to hunt down his journal just to find out what's on it.
